This privacy notice is about this website, privateaddictioncare.com. Here you can read what we record when you visit the site or complete a form, what we use that for and what rights you have. If you become a client with us, our full privacy policy — you will also receive that document with the service agreement.

Who we are

Private Addiction Care B.V. is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this statement. Do you have questions about your data? Send an email to info@privateaddictioncare.com of bel +31 85 082 57 10.

What we process when you fill out a form

Contact form

If you fill in the contact form, we will process your email address, optionally your telephone number, who you are seeking help for, whether we may call you today, and what you write in your message. We use this exclusively to contact you regarding your query.

You decide for yourself what you share in your message. What you write can contain information about health or substance use — feel free to share only what you want to, an email address or phone number is enough to be able to help you. Everything that comes in is treated confidentially and only read by those who need it to assist you.

Checklist for loved ones

If you request the relatives' checklist, we will use your email address to send you the checklist. After that, you will occasionally receive an email with something that can help you further. There is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email; if you unsubscribe, we will remove you from the list and you will no longer receive anything.

Call or WhatsApp

Call or message us, and we will process your telephone number and what you tell us in order to be able to help you and call you back.

Good to know: The website does not save your form submissions itself. Everything you send goes exclusively to our secure mailbox. This ensures your data is stored in as few places as possible.

What we process when you only view the site

Our hosting provider records technical visitor data in log files (such as IP address and time). These are necessary for the security and proper functioning of the website and are not kept longer than necessary for that purpose. In addition, we use cookies for statistics and marketing — you can read what that entails precisely and what choices you have in the Cookie statement.

Why we are allowed to process this

We process your data based on the legal grounds under the GDPR: to handle your request when you contact us (pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest), with your consent (for example, for the checklist emails and non-essential cookies), and to comply with legal obligations. Consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time.

Who we share data with

We never sell your data. We only share it with parties that help us run this website and our communications, such as our hosting provider and Microsoft 365 for email. Processing agreements have been concluded with these parties. For statistics and advertising, we use services from Google, Microsoft and Meta; you can read more about this in the Cookie statement. If any data is processed outside the European Economic Area, this is done with appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep data

We retain messages sent via the contact form for as long as is necessary to handle your query and to be able to respond to any potential follow-up questions. If you are on the list for the checklist emails, we will retain your email address until you unsubscribe. If you become a client, the retention periods set out in the privacy policy and the law.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict processing, to receive your data, and to object to processing. You can also withdraw consent given at any time.

Do you want to exercise one of these rights? Email us at info@privateaddictioncare.com. You will receive a response within a month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Changes

We may amend this privacy statement, for example if the website or legislation changes. The current version is always available on this page.
